What is Solid Surface?

Technically speaking, solid surface consists of reacted monomers and resins, mineral fillers and pigments manufactured in a variety of sheet thicknesses and shapes. It is non-porous, homogeneous, hygienic, renewable, and, when applicable, may feature inconspicuous hygienic seams.

In layman’s terms, it is the perfect decorative surface for many horizontal and vertical applications. It can be seamed, molded and thermoformed like plastic. It can be sanded, shaped, smoothed, routered and finished like wood. It is non-porous, won’t support the growth of bacteria, smooth and warm to the touch. It is available in hundreds of colors and comes in a variety of textures and patterns, including solid colors, sanded, granite-like, multi-colored veining, wood grain, metalized, directional grain and embossed patterns.

Most solid surface brands come with a minimum 10-year installed warranty.
