Joe, I think you mentioned that there is "no comparison" between gorilla grips and Omni-Cubed Seam-Setters. You are correct. The gorilla grips won't do to well on Solid Surface. The Seam-Setters work on both materials. Nice $$ savings to use one set on both!
Thanks for pointing that out.
Dave:
I have personally used Gorilla Grips to pull together solid surface seams with excellent results. I have personally used Gorilla Grips to pull together PLASTIC LAMINATE seams with excellent results.
If fabricators want spectacular engineered stone seams like mine they had better have CNC machined edges, Integra color-matched adhesives and Gorilla Grips. You ain't makin' these without 'em.
The four rods spanning the seam on the GG's provide eight points for deck flattening with cams. The Cubes provide four with thumbscrews. The law of levers makes the cams more powerful. One would have to purchase two sets of Cubes to get eight points which would be double the price of the Gorilla's.
Let's cut to the chase, Dave. You earn your living selling tools, I make mine using them. We'll let the readers decide who to believe. Gorilla Grip inventor Steve LeFebvre has taken a selective path to market, leaving you out. I appreciate your bringing fabricators more choices and I know you appreciate my bringing them more information.
