We are a company based in Goa India, engaged in the production of Diamond tools, used for processing of natural stone.

As a diversification venture, we are interested in setting up a unit for the manufacture of Solid Surfaces, since the Housing and construction industry is seeing an unprecented boom in India.  

We would like to set up a smaller facility initially and get started, and  ramp up production once all the marketing set up is in place. 

I see a greater potential to manufacture solid surface, and distribute it by enabling fabrication shops all over India as the way forward. 

Could I get some advise as regards the machinery manufacturers, RM suppliers and inputs regarding the best way to start this venture.

At present Corian, LG imacs and Staron, besides some Chinese produts are being imported to India, and processed.[the import duty is 34%]

I would also like to explore the possibility of a Joint venture in this regard.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
