ISSFA Bulletin Board Guidelines & Rules of Conduct

We at the International Solid Surface Fabricators Association, Inc. (ISSFA) are pleased that you have decided to use the services we offer on our site and we hope you find it an enjoyable experience. However, we do not control the information posted on our bulletin board and do not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such content. Under no circumstances will we be liable in any way for any content, including, but not limited to, for any errors or omissions in any content, or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed or otherwise transmitted via the bulletin board.

For both your protection and ours and to provide the best user experience and respectful user interaction we have established the following terms of use which we expect all our visitors to follow while on our site. Your continued use of our site means that you acknowledge these terms of use and agree to abide by them at all times. Because we reserve the right to modify these terms of use at any time without notice to you, please check them regularly.


1) Password and Security - Your web name and password can be found in your membership documents. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and user I.D., and you are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or user I.D. You are to (a) immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your password or user I.D. or any other breach of security, and (b) ensure that you exit from your account at the end of each session.

2) You agree and continue to agree to use our web site in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations and in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the policies and guidelines outlined below.

3) You are agreeing that you bear all risks associated with the use of any content, including any reliance on the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of such content.

4) Certain behaviors will not be tolerated on our site, and by continuing to use our site, you are agreeing that you will not post any of the following material on the bulletin board:

• Messages are inappropriate when their content fails to meet the basic standards of decorum, and/or is based on rumors, and/or is libelous in nature.

• Improper Decorum: content that is offensive, indecent, profane, disrespectful, inciting, maliciously worded, or the venting of unsubstantiated opinions.

• Libelous Posts: Posts which defame any person, business, organization, governmental or other entity, product or service and are malicious in nature. Posts which expose a person or organization to public hatred, shame, disgrace, ridicule, or create an ill opinion of a person or organization.

• Contains unsolicited or inappropriate advertising, promotional materials, self-promotion or other forms of solicitation.
• Could reasonably be construed as a violation of Federal, state or international law prohibiting anti-competitive activities or unfair trade practices. For example, participants should not discuss pricing policies, price fixing, or division of territory.
• Contains false or fraudulent information
• Infringes any other person or entity's copyright, trademark, service mark, trade dress, and discloses or could lead to disclosure of any trade secret
• Violates any privacy-related right belonging to any person, business or other entity
• Harasses, threatens, abuses, embarrasses or causes distress, unwanted attention or discomfort to any other person or entity.
• Messages that accuse businesses or individuals of alleged negative actions are inappropriate since ISSFA is unable to verify or substantiate such claims.
• Is patently inappropriate, e.g., information or topics not related to or of interest to solid surface fabricators.
• Contains obscene or sexually explicit images or other information
• Interferes with the contract of another through the web site.
• Is unprofessional or is otherwise inappropriate for this forum.

5) You agree and continue to agree to use our web site in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations and in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the policies and guidelines outlined below.

6) You may terminate your right to use our site and services at any time by notification to us as set forth above. We may terminate your account or access rights to the site at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates this agreement or other policies or guidelines that we have posted on our site.

7) We shall have the right, but not the obligation, in our sole discretion to refuse or remove any content that violates the above terms or is otherwise objectionable. Any user who posts objectionable material on our site will be responsible for all of our damages arising from such posting. In addition, depending on the nature and extent of the violation, we may, at our sole discretion terminate such user's membership or by blocking entrance to the bulletin board.

8) ISSFA does not pre-screen content. Any posted content solely represents the views of the user who posted it and does not represent the views of or a validation by ISSFA.
